5-24-16: The Yukon Chamber of Commerce launches its `Fueling Yukon`s Economy` initiative. Each year $200 million leaks out of the Yukon economy to pay fossil fuels, which comprise 4/5ths of all the energy that Yukoners consume.

May 25, 2016 - The Yukon Chamber today launches its new ``Fueling Yukon`s Economy`` website. This site shares information on Yukon`s current consumption of fossil fuels which leaks $200 million annually out of our economy. Partcipation in the conversation is encouraged!

The Yukon Chamber thanks all the delegates that made the Jan. 31 - Feb. 3 business delegation to Ottawa such a success! There was significant engagement with Federal Government ministries on Tourism, Infrastructure, CanNor, Employment, the Agreement on Internal Trade and First Nations issues. It was a very productive and high-spirited trip!

The Chamber give the 2015 - 2016 Yukon Government Budget a grade of B+, We applaud investment in infrastructure, and communities, and reductions in taxation. There is room for improvement in the areas of training funds and housing. Job creation is graded "incomplete" pending awarding of contracts and sub-contracts on capital projects.
