4-28-17: Yukon Chamber of Commerce comments issues a report card on the Yukon Territorial budget for 2017-2018 and gives it a B+ grade.

4-28-17: Yukon Chammber of Commerce issues full report card. 


12-8-16: YWCHSB announced today the assessment rates for 2017 for each of the industries and rate groups. 

9-15-16: Yukon Chamber suggests conference board outlook be taken with grain of salt. 

6-9-16: Yukon Chamber of Commerce is pleased with YWCHSB announcement that the average workers' compensation assessment rate for employers is virtually unchanged from last year's rate. 

5-25-16: The Yukon Chamber launched its new Fueling Yukon website, looking at the scale of fossil fuel consumption here in the territory. Look for further updates as we progress further into this project!

5-24-16: The Yukon Chamber of Commerce launches its `Fueling Yukon`s Economy` initiative. Each year $200 million leaks out of the Yukon economy to pay fossil fuels, which comprise 4/5ths of all the energy that Yukoners consume.

5-16-16: Yukon Chamber of Commerce encouraged by YESAB response. 

4-15-16: The Yukon Chamber of Commerce welcomes concerns about shrinking private sector as expressed by Liberal Leader Sandy Silver. 

2-15-16: The Yukon Chamber of Commerce comments on the YESAB decision released on Friday, February 12.

2-17-16: The Yukon Chamber of Commerce congratulates the fforts of the Yukon Government and Member of Parliament for the Yukon in resoring almost $17 million of cut announced in December.

Yukon Chamber of Commerce - 2017 Policies & Resolutions
Members and Community Chambers approved the following policies at the last AGM held on June 1, 2017

The Energy Policy and the Carbon Pricing Policy were approved in February 2017. 

These resolutions will be brought to the attention of appropriate government officials and other bodies to whom the recommendations are directed. Members will be updated and advised of the action(s) taken on each policy resolution.

Fueling Yukon’s Economy
On May 25, 2016 the Yukon Chamber launched its new Fueling Yukon website, looking at the scale of fossil fuel consumption here in the territory. We are currently in Phase II of this project; look for further updates on this project!

Yukon Workers' Compensation Health and Safety-Rebates
The Yukon Chamber of Commerce identified a surplus in the Yukon Workers' Compensation Health and Safety Board reserves and negotiated a refund to Yukon employers obtaining $20 million to Yukon employers.
