The Yukon Chamber of Mines and Northern Safety Network Yukon are once again working together to organize the fundraising auction to raise money for the Yukon Imagination Library and the Yukon Mines Legacy Foundation.

The Yukon Imagination Library (YIL) is a territory-wide family literacy initiative that provides one free book per month to every enrolled Yukon child from birth to the age of 5. Since it’s inception, YIL has provided over 100,000 free books to Yukon children. At the 2019 banquet, our sponsors helped raise nearly $37,000 to provide more than 1,400 books to Yukon families each month!
The Yukon Mines Legacy Foundation (YMLF) was created in 2011 and acknowledges the role of mining in Yukon’s history, culture, and future. The Foundation selects and supports projects that create positive awareness of the importance of mining in Yukon, and that leaves a lasting legacy for the Yukon community and its people. Money raised from the banquet will be put towards a scholarship fund for Yukoners to pursue studies related to Yukon’s mineral exploration industry.

The fundraiser will be a combination of an online silent auction and live auction held on Monday, November 22, 2021, during the Yukon Geoscience Forum Awards Banquet. The Yukon Chamber of Mines and Northern Safety Network Yukon are delighted to invite your company to become a YIL & YMLF sponsor by contributing to the silent auction and/ or the live auction.
